Job Title               : Datastage Specialist

 

Role                      : Tech Lead/Team Lead/Project Lead

 

Education            : BE / ME / B.Tech / M.Tech/MCA

 

Experience         : 5 to 8 yrs

 

Primary                : Datastage

 

Secondary           : RDBMS, PLSQL, Database Stored Procedures, Unix.

 

Work Location  : Chennai

 

Job Requirements / Technical Skills Required:-

Candidates should have experience in following vicinity,

·         Interface other services (eg. DBA, Modellers, SDL etc.)

·         Understand data requirements TSS

·         Involve Production service at the end of Development – Present to Production

·         Check for referential integrity.

·         Participate in performance, integration, and system testing.

·         Document above designed and developed processes/modules.

·         Use code generators, system utilities, extraction tools and other tools to be more productive.

·         Convert business rules imbedded in host application programs into transformation rules.

·         Develop code to create files that can be used with load scripts to load the target database.

·         Conform to change management procedures.

·         Use specialized Data Stage knowledge to create efficient solutions to complex transformation program specifications.

Role & Responsibilities:-

• Requirement Analysis for ETL needs
• Preparation of ETL specifications
• Design, Development and Testing of ETL jobs
• Works on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develops and prepares reporting solutions.
• Performs and leads data mapping for reporting, analyzing the database, and analysis efforts.
• Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs reports.
• Participates in the overall systems testing. 
• Supports the implementation of the application into production environment
