Principal QA Engineer:

The Role

A Software Engineer in Test [SET] at McAfee is an engineer with the primary responsibility of effective assurance of product quality through test automation, code inspections, peer reviews, feature testing and other forms of engineering excellence. It is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality and technology, while providing an immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the “building” aspect of software development with the “testing” part of quality assurance. As an SET you can analyze business requirements and scenarios very well. Create test plans, test cases and build test frameworks to execute them.

Responsibilities

· Participating in Design Reviews and Code Inspections

· Hands-on authoring of test cases and execution combined with tool development

· Responsible for designing and developing automated tools or frameworks for highly optimized and effective test coverage

· Ensure testability in product features and measure ! code coverage data regularly

· Perform deb! ugging a nd troubleshooting in variety of local and remote testing environments as well as in the field as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
We are seeking candidates that thrive on challenge and have the ability to work independently to ensure high quality of mission critical platform and applications. The minimum qualifications we look for are:
· B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA from Top Engineering colleges (preferably)
· At least [5] years of experience in product testing and development cycles
-Hands-on experience with system software programming languages, code reviews
· Experience in troubleshooting system level issues and excellent problem solving skills
-Demonstrated proficiency in creating test tools, designing test cases and contributing to effective test planning for networking products
-Experience in developing automated test frameworks (preferably in Python)
-Must be highly ! motivated with a strong passion for and commitment to software quality

Preferred Qualifications
· Master's in Computer Science or related technical field
· Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design

· Experience with improving testability of software through refactoring
